What is an RSVP QR code?
An RSVP QR code is a small square printed on an invitation or reply card that opens your RSVP page when a guest points their phone camera at it. Guests scan, land on the page, and reply without typing a link or mailing a card back. To make one, paste your RSVP link into the generator above and download the image. Print the web address under it too, for anyone who'd rather type it.
How to make a QR code for wedding RSVPs
Copy your RSVP link
Open the RSVP page of your wedding website on The Knot, Zola, Joy, or wherever you collect replies, and copy its address. No RSVP page yet? Make one free with Hejmo.
Paste it into the generator
The code appears as you paste, with the link it opens written underneath so you can check it.
Download a PNG or SVG
Drop it into Canva, Word, or your stationer's template for the reply card or the back of the invitation.
Test, then print
Print one copy and scan it with your phone before you order the full run.
Tips for invitations and reply cards
A code that scans on screen can still fail on paper. These keep it working.
- Size
- At least 1 in (2.5 cm) on an invitation or reply card, and 2 in or more on a welcome sign.
- Placement
- The reply card or the back of the invitation, with blank space around it. Not across a fold or a photo.
- Contrast
- Dark ink on white or pale paper. Skip light colors, reversed codes, and metallic foil.
- Add a reply-by date
- “Kindly reply by May 8” next to the code gets answers sooner than the code alone.
- Print the link too
- Put the web address in small type under the code for grandparents and anyone whose phone doesn't scan.
- Test-scan
- Scan a printed proof with two phones, including an older one, before printing them all.

Questions
Common questions about RSVP QR codes.
How do I get a QR code for my wedding invites?
Copy the RSVP link from your wedding website, paste it into the generator on this page, and download the code as a PNG or SVG. Put it on the reply card or the back of the invitation, at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, with the web address printed underneath for guests who'd rather type it.
How do I set up an RSVP QR code on The Knot?
Turn on RSVPs on your Knot wedding website and publish it, then open the RSVP page and copy its link. The Knot adds a QR code for free to stationery you order from The Knot. If you print your invitations anywhere else, paste that RSVP link here and download the code.
Does Zola give you a QR code for RSVP?
Zola's wedding website collects RSVPs online and gives you a link to share. To print a code on invitations from another shop, or on reply cards you make yourself, copy your Zola RSVP or website link, paste it here, and download the code. It works the same for Joy, Minted, WeddingWire, or any other RSVP page.
Is this RSVP QR code generator free?
Yes. Make and download as many codes as you like. There's no signup, no watermark, and no ads.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It's a static code: the link is written into the pattern itself, so it works for as long as your RSVP page does. There's no subscription behind it and nothing that can switch it off.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not on a printed code, so check the link before you print. You can still change what's on the page it opens: edit your wedding website or your Hejmo event and the printed code keeps working.
What if I don't have an RSVP link yet?
Make one free with Hejmo. You get one link for the whole guest list: each family scans, adds who's coming, and replies without an account or app. You can ask one question, like meal choice, and you see every answer and the headcount in one list. Its QR code opens as soon as the page is saved.
What size should an RSVP QR code be?
At least 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide on an invitation or reply card, and 2 inches or more on a sign or flyer. Phones read a code from about ten times its width. Long links make busier codes that need to print a little bigger.
Should I download a PNG or an SVG?
A PNG works everywhere, including Canva, Word, Google Docs, and print shops. An SVG is for design apps and stationers who want a file that scales to any size without blurring.
Is my link uploaded anywhere?
No. The code is drawn in your browser and the link isn't saved or sent anywhere.
No RSVP link yet?
Make one free with Hejmo. Each family replies for everyone in it with no account, you can ask meal choice, and you see who's coming in one list. Its QR code opens as soon as it's saved.
